Kauai Ahiki Malo

So Sara, her mom (Beth), her sister (Jenna) and I got to Kauai yesterday. Flying in you are like, sweet... this place is nothing like USA (even though it is). First stop was WalMart... yep, still in america. Our spot on the North side of the island is pretty much the jam with sweet views and a plush pad. Might play golf later. Here's some photos:

Beth is pretty amped to be coming back here. She comes at least once a year plus she lived here for about 9 years in high school and college.

This is Waikiki Beach from the plane from Oahu to Kauai

This is my face when I saw what you saw in that last photo

Hitting the cliffs of Kauai

Sara and I sampling some of the local vibes

Here we have the rocky shore below the place we are staying. There is tons of coral and tropical stuff everywhere.

Jenna found a cave.

Our place is in the corner unit on the top floor in the right hand building. Mad views Ahunikiki.

This sign keeps the kooks off my wave. They only put it up for you if you call ahead.

Enchantment, folks.

Sunset kokani'i
This window sticker was in my room growing up. Lo-behold, there it was on the window of my room in Kauai.
The deck view.

Just hours ago... finally there conawahiki'i
Great beach for good living. The first one we saw

Sara navigates the "locals only" stairs. Ain't never scarred.

  1. Whoa James! These are great pics, makes me want to fly right over!

Stay in touch, meanwhile catch a wave for me.

Mabel is enjoying her vacation at Mammel's Resort and Spa. Her outing today was joy-filled and productive. She knows how to stay around the place and also how to get back up on the deck. Her life is blessed just as is ours and yours and Hanks to be sure! Hank does enjoy having her visit with us - he's cool as a cucumber though.

Amanda is probably going back to LA on Wed. She is still catching up on her lost sleep.

What a wonderful blog you have started. Keep it going.
Love Dad and Mom and hugs to all!

  2. Zillions of quodos and thanks to you, James my boy, oh I mean Cosmo C! Ah, how nice for your dear Mum to know you enjoy this moniker which I loved for your 'given' name!

Well, I am thrilled so very much to view these gorgeous photos you are posting. It is almost as if I am there too, it feels special indeed. You are quite the communicator and with some comedy, not to mention the exquisite photos.

This is a vacation of a lifetime, may you enjoy many, many more as your heart desires dear James.

Catch some waves for all of us land-locked Mammeles - yes???

    Love and Hugs to all,
    Mom xoxoxoxoxox
